About Kevin

Kevin Rosenfield focuses his practice on construction law, business law, and general commercial litigation. Kevin has been selected every year since 2015 as a Washington Super Lawyer, which is an exclusive list recognizing no more than five percent of attorneys in the state.

Kevin is both a transactional attorney and a litigator. On the litigation side, Kevin is a commercial litigator and trial lawyer with experience representing clients in a broad range of complex business and commercial disputes, including construction law, intellectual property, product liability, employment law, government contracts, and various breach of contract actions and general corporate disputes. Kevin has successfully handled a wide array of large-dollar commercial litigation, representing clients in diverse industries located across the nation on numerous issues facing businesses today. Kevin has experience handling all phases of litigation, from initiation through trial and appeal. He has successfully argued in both state and federal courts (including jury trials), and he has successfully handled arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association.

In addition to litigation, Kevin also has a significant transactional practice focused on contract negotiation/preparation, general counseling, claims avoidance, and commercial agreement matters on behalf of companies in a wide range of industries. Kevin has considerable experience drafting and negotiating a variety of technology contracts, including master services agreements, licensing contracts, intellectual property agreements, and SaaS agreements. Kevin also utilizes his construction and litigation experience in negotiating and drafting design and construction contracts for project owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers.

Outside of his professional life, Kevin enjoys skiing, golfing, and rooting for the Seahawks and Wolverines, in addition to spending time with his wife and two daughters.

  • Zhang v. Johnson Design Homes (King Co. Superior Ct.) (successfully defended general contractor against various claims by homeowner and prevailed on counterclaims, following 10-day jury trial; handled subsequent successful appeal).
  • Southwestern Industrial Contractors v. Alutiiq International Solutions (W. D. Texas) (defended general contractor in Miller Act litigation; obtained favorable settlement).
  • Quotelab LLC v. QuoteWizard.com, LLC (Los Angeles County) (defended against breach of contract and trade secret action).
  • Star Technologies Corp. v. Andrews Space, Inc. (E.D. Virginia) (breach of contract action against contractor awarded congressional funding for spacecraft development).
  • Comark Building Solutions v. Alutiiq International Solutions (W. D. Wash) (defended general contractor in multi-million dollar Miller Act litigation filed by subcontractor; prevailed following four-day arbitration).
  • ERG Transit Systems, Inc. v. Clever Devices Ltd (W.D. Wash.) (breach of contract action concerning defective devices installed on King County Metro buses).

  • Biggs v. AstenJohnson, Inc., et al. (King Co. Superior Ct.) (secured dismissal of plaintiff’s product liability claims against dryer felt manufacturer).
